World of Warcraft Power Leveling Guide

This is a World of Warcraft Power Leveling Guide. If you are looking for ways to make gold please see Valkors Gold Guide. If you are looking for a World of Warcraft leveling guide from 1-70 please see either Horde 1-70 Guide or Alliance 1-70 Guide. Other profession and class guides can be found at Killer Guides.

Power leveling is a dangerous sport, also known as grinding. Some people are very good at it, others have problems staying focused. It can often require great sacrifice and thus less enjoyment. Tips and tricks can be found throughout this page regarding how to grind or power level particular professions and skills. However there are other, much cheaper solutions.

What I’m saying is, you should give serious consideration to the folks at BroGame where you can get the results without the sacrifice. If you enjoy power leveling, then I suggest reading our guides. But here is an example:

Imagine this situation: Timmy wants to be an 290 Engineer so he use a Hyper-Radiant Flame Reflector and have 18 more Fire Resistance to tank Ragnaros. Timmy is getting sick and tired of Phil having more FR and really really wants to get the edge over him. Timmy’s desire is legitimate, but what will he do to achieve his goal? Timmy could follow our Engineering Guide and get to 290 efficiently. However, this would still cost him several hundred gold (the flame reflector is 200g alone) and at 20-30g/hour he’s looking at almost 25 hours of grinding (see our gold guides for more information on getting wow gold fast). Timmy may go right on and do this, eating extra hot pockets and skipping class to make extra gold before raid night. What Timmy needs to understand is simple. For every hour he plays wow and doesn’t enjoy it, he is losing money.

If Timmy were to have BroGame pass him 500g he would only pay around $65 but save up to 25 hours! If he did it himself, he would be paying himself only $2.60 an hour, almost 1/3 minimum wage! This is just stupid! Timmy could have the 500g immediately and spend that 25 hours playing with his friends doing something he enjoys, or he could go get a job and get paid a great deal more (and probably have more fun at work).

So the moral of the story is, don’t be stupid and pay yourself dirt cheap rates to do something that only burns you out. Ask BroGame to do your hard work for you (don’t worry these guys are reliable). However, if you intend on grinding on your own, make sure you equip yourself with the guides on this page. If you’re going to embark on power leveling a character to 60 you better have either Joana’s 1-60 horde guide or Kopp’s 1-60 alliance guide.

Private WOW servers

Greetings, travelers. With Light’s Hope shutting down in 6 days and Classic just around the corner, you may be asking yourself what the future of private wow servers is. I’ve been asking myself this every day the past few weeks. Allow me to attempt to explain the situation by typing out a short stream of consciousnesses that’s been running through my mind.

What made you fall in love with WoW in the first place? The answer will be different for every person here, but for me, it was Azeroth. The gorgeous music, the everchanging landscapes. The unique NPC’s, each of which felt unique and part of the greater world the existed in. The quests and the stories behind them.

At some point, this changed for me, and I began being concerned with gearing up, getting my BIS gear and raiding. finding leveling routes that were the the most efficient, and would get me to 60 as quick as possible.

Don’t get me wrong, this is an essential part of the WoW experience, however, I would argue it is the part of WoW that lessens, and eventually ruins the sense of mystical immersion in the game.

It is much like life. You can try to succeed in every conventional standard, racing to the top to get that career, earn money, raise a family. These are some sort of markers of a “succesful” life in today’s world, perhaps not everywhere but in a lot of places. When these goals become the things giving you meaning, you tend to forget the minuscule details of every day life tha tmake it a mystical experience, and more often than not life becomes somewhat of a “grind” to achieve these hallowed artifacts of success.

I’m not saying this is the case for every person, but among the people I know it seems to be the case. I would argue that it is attention to the smallest of details that makes life special. The thigns that exist only in the moment, and that can only be experienced in the moment.

How well do you really know the quests you are doing? why are you killing these Quillboars, and where is Mankrik’s wife? The answers lie in the world of Azeroth, and in the character in it – but it is up to the individual to pay enough attention to make these details meaningful.

For me, this sort of change in perspective is what made WoW great for me again “MWoWGA”. I got to 60, I got my T1 armor, I did raids. But at the end of it, I felt empty. Returning to the world itself, to the lore, to the quests, to the exploring of the landscape and to the beautiful interaciton between players is what made me love vanilla wow again. It seems to me that the Turtle WoW private server shares the same vision. the optional 0.5 leveling rate (its either 0.5 or 1x leveling) forces yo9u top slow down, and remember what is so great about the game. If any of this resonates with you, I hope to see you in-game in Turtle WoW, because that’s where I will be spending my years of gaming to come.

Play WOW from collage dorm?

I’ve been thinking of getting into private servers in order to take a trip down memory lane again, I started playing back in late wrath, but I’m moving back into my college dorm some time next month.

Now here’s the problem, their internet usage has an anti-piracy policy as is to be expected, and I’m afraid they might decide private server usage counts as piracy. Last year my RA told me they don’t even turn on their monitoring unless there’s a lot of heavy usage in a short time frame, but I’m still concerned about this issue.

So I’m wondering if there are any solutions? What would you guys do about it? VPN? Any tips on picking one? Is it really safe?
