Druid Talent Guide

Here is an overview of what talents to use as you level your Druid along with some level 70 talent builds. The best guide to playing a Druid I've found is at Killer Guides. You can always make your Druid better by getting a lot of gold and buying the best gear, to do that I strongly recommend using Valkor's Gold Guide for farming massive amounts of gold.

Overview

Druids are a versatile class with a vast arsenal of spells at its command. Druids can be beneficial to a group because they can heal, cure poisons, and resurrect group members. Druids are in tune with nature and can use their abilities to root, cause damage over time, or directly strike down their enemies with the forces of nature. They also possess the ability to shapeshift, allowing them to fill almost any missing component of a group and granting them tremendous solo and PvP capabilities.

Leveling a Druid

If you really want to blaze through the levels check out either Brian Kopp's 1-70 Guide (Alliance) or Joana's 1-70 Guide (Horde)

There are several ways to level a Druid depending on what talent tree and gear setup you will use. The Druid can solo up to level 10 by using its spells and weapon very simply but after level 10 the Druid's path diversifies. The Druid will be able to use shapeshifting and use talents that can make it a stronger caster or melee class. One option is the Druid can swap into Bear Form and plow down multiple enemies in a single encounter and when it runs out of hit points it can shift out of Bear Form and heal itself. Another option is for the Druid to use Cat Form and strike single targets from stealth killing them quickly. The last option is that the Druid go after Moonkin form and use its direct damage and damage over time spell line to root and kill enemies from a distance. There are other ways to level but these are the basic strategies for leveling a Druid.

Feral

A young Feral Druid is both common and very effective for leveling up quickly and efficiently. Put your first few points into Ferocity, Thick Hide, and eventually work on some Feral talents that will help your shapeshifting abilities.

Balance

This is another great build for leveling a Druid. It will allow you to use your damage spells more effectively.

Level 70 Talent Builds

Feral Build 0/47/14

This is a good start for a Feral build. There are many small changes you can make to make this build your own.

Insane Healer Build 1/0/60

This build focuses on using Tree Form to heal allies in PvE or PvP action. Although Tree Form makes the Druid a very easy target in PvP, if hidden among the other trees or in a good spot it may give the Druid's allies the upper hand in combat.
